The secret about Loch Ness

Kategori: scotland

We are finally here in Loch Ness and we have finally reached to our last destination! If you don’t know where loch ness is because you should know, it’s in Scotland! We are going to spend our last days here.

We are going to stay in Loch Ness Clansman Hotel. We chose this hotel because we wanted to stay in a hotel near the Loch Ness Lake!

When we are here in Scotland are going to see The Falls of Foyers, Urquhart Castle and of course we are going to the Loch Ness Lake and hopefully se the Loch Ness monster and if we have time we are going to go to Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition.

But let’s talk about earlier today, so we went to the Loch Ness, we had a fun and time, and the time went by faster than I thought it would. And if you don’t know what Loch ness lake is, it is the UK’s second deepest leak and there is a monster called Nessie that lives there, the monster is a cryotid. That we often describe as a long necked monster with fens that looks like a plesiosaurus.

So maybe the Loch Ness monster does not exist, but the first sight of Nessie where from St.clombus and this crew that were on a ship.( they maybe had taking a couple of beers to much)

But the fun thing about this is that my friends call me Nessie all the time. So basically I am a MONSTER! No, just joking!

After the great time there we went to the Falls of Foyers, the falls name in Scottish Gaelic is “Eas na Smùide” that means the smoking falls. Scottish Gaelic is the Celtic language spoken in Scotland but mainly in the Highlands and the Hebrides. There are only 58,652 people speak the language.

Anyways let’s get back on track! So the Fall of Foyers is a waterfall on the River Foyers, it supplies to Loch Ness. The waterfall has a fall of 165 feet.  During the Victorian ( Viktoria loves when her name is in pretty much in everything that’s been named)  period the falls and gorge were a popular tourist attraction for the gentry. They arrived by paddle steamer from Inverness.

During the walk we came across many information boards about the falls and the history of Foyers.

We also saw a red squirrel, it was really cute. I think Scotland has the most beautiful environments I’ve seen!

I thought that this day couldn’t get any better but I was wrong, so we went to Urquhart Castel.

Urquhart Castle is a castle near Loch Ness, it was built in the early 1200s. And in 1296 the castle got conquered by Edward 1 of England. After this the castle felt into England and was recovered and lost again.

We enjoyed our trip to Urquhart Castle. It was very cold and windy while we were there, but it was worth the time and effort. There was lot of history in this area and the view from the castle was incredible. When you look out over Loch Ness, we expected to see the loch ness monster appearing at any moment. I don’t have any words, all I can say it was AMAZING! I defiantly recommend everyone to visit Urquhart Castel.

But now it’s time for us to go out and eat so we will write more tomorrow! And today is also our last night in UK! Goodnight!
